This is a great long-term locum opportunity where your experience and quick thinking will have a real impact. You'll be stepping into a role where every shift matters—providing urgent care to patients who need you most.

    Job Description

    • Delivering immediate care to patients with acute conditions or trauma in the ER
    • Performing examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and making accurate diagnoses
    • Stabilizing critically ill or injured patients using emergency procedures
    • Collaborating closely with nurses and fellow healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
    • Maintaining clear, detailed medical records and patient documentation
    • Making timely decisions regarding admissions, discharges, or referrals
    • Following hospital policies and regulatory standards
    • Staying current with emergency care protocols and advancements
    • Communicating compassionately with patients and their families
    • Participating in quality improvement efforts and helping refine ER procedures
    • Taking on additional related duties as needed in a dynamic ER environment

    Requirements

    • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
    • Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
    • Valid state medical license to practice in any state in the USA
    • Possess and maintain at all times a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
    • Ability to work efficiently in high-stress, fast-paced environments
    • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
    • Willingness to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems
    • Commitment to continuous education and staying current with medical advancements
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Must be a US citizen living primarily in the United States
