    OB/GYN Locum Physician

    Job Description

    • Long-term OB/GYN MD/DO contract opportunity - up to 1 year with possible extensions

    • OB/GYN experience as an MD/DO required
    • 2-3 years of post-residency experience needed
    • Previous locum tenens and IHS facility experience preferred
    • Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology required
    • Must hold a valid U.S. medical license (any state)
    • Current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required

    Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients across all stages of life
    • Manage prenatal, labor & delivery, and postpartum care
    • Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures within scope of privileges
    • Collaborate with nursing, midwifery, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care
    • Participate in on-call coverage for obstetrics and emergencies as assigned
    • Provide education and counseling to patients regarding reproductive health and family planning
    • Document all encounters and procedures in accordance with facility policy and federal regulations
    • Participate in quality improvement and peer review initiatives

    Requirements

    • Active, unrestricted medical license - Must hold a current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Montana or any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
    • Board Certification/Eligibility - Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG).
    • Active DEA Registration - Required to prescribe and manage controlled substances.
    • Certifications - Must have current certifications in:
      • Basic Life Support (BLS)
      • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
      • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
    • Citizenship - Must be a U.S. citizen residing primarily within the United States.
    • Experience - Minimum of 2 years of relevant OB/GYN clinical experience post-residency required.
    • Credentialing - Must complete all credentialing requirements within 10 days of offer acceptance.
    • Federal Security Clearance - Must be willing and able to complete and pass the federal background and security clearance process.
