Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Urologist to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. Job Description
- The Inpatient Urologist will act as a consultant. Admission and discharge of most patients will be handled by the Internal Medicine team.
- Direct care for hospitalized and ER patients.
- Ability to perform procedures as well as surgeries.
- M-F Schedule, 7a-5p with no weekends or holidays.
- Other team members will supplement the call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage urological conditions in hospitalized and ER patients while also taking phone call consultations from outlying facilities.
- Perform urological procedures and surgeries as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Consult with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive urological care.
- Participate in rounds and interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
- Educate patients and families about urological conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Stay updated on the latest urological practices, techniques, and technologies.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of urological care.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Urology.
- New Mexico medical license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in urology.
