Join our team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in a dynamic environment. This position requires weekly availability and offers a structured schedule with a focus on both inpatient and outpatient care.

Job Description

• Requires weekly availability; prefer not to rotate weeks on/weeks off
• Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour shifts per week, with a preference for 3 12-hour shifts and availability on weekends
• All time off requests must be made upfront
• No locals; must live 50 miles from the facility
• Patient population/age: 13 - end of life
• Department description: Level 1 trauma center with 60 CRNAs, about 70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 anesthesia residents. The anesthesia team covers 33 ORs in the main OR, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 stand-alone GI center rooms.
• EMR: Epic
• Hospital bed size: 600
• Skills required: All CRNA scopes of practice
• Cases the clinician will not be doing include: open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and performing peripheral nerve blocks

Requirements

• ACLS & BLS certifications must be valid and completed through the AHA
• Must have COVID & flu vaccine; exemptions will not be approved
• Board certification is required
• Virginia license is required
• DEA is not required
• Minimum experience required: 2 years, preferably with an academic background and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience. Outpatient-only candidates may be considered, but recent inpatient experience is preferred. One year of academic medical center or Level 1 trauma center experience is required, with a preference for experience working regularly with ASA 3+ patients.
