Join our team as an Emergency Medicine Physician in a critical access hospital with a trauma level 4 designation. This position offers a supportive environment with 24-hour MD support on-site or within a 5-minute drive.

Job Description

• Start date: April/May
• Contract length: 3 months ongoing
• Shift details: Mids with a noon start (open to 8, 9, or 10-hour shifts)
• Schedule: Monday to Sunday
• Patient coverage needed per month: 2 FTE
• Patients per day: 20-30 patients
• Patient population/age: All ages, from pediatrics to geriatric, with 6 babies born in the last 6 months
• Department description: Emergency Department with 7 rooms and 2 trauma bays that can accommodate 4 patients each
• EMR: Athena in clinic (might use), Medhost, and EDIS (mostly EDIS); willing to train on those
• Hospital bed size: 57 beds
• Special procedures: Emergency ultrasound experience required
• Practice setting: Hospital

Requirements

• Board certification: Yes
• License required: MN
• DEA: Yes
• Minimum experience required: 3 years minimum of Emergency Medicine experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ATLS or CALS
• Certifications preferred: PALS and APLS

Benefits

• Holiday pay at 1.5x normal rate for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day (00:00 - 23:59)
