Outpatient Thoracic Surgery Provider

Join our team as an Outpatient Thoracic Surgery Provider in a dynamic clinic setting. This position involves working independently in a clinic while collaborating with surgeons, providing care primarily to an adult patient population.

Job Description

• Provider will work in an independent clinic and shared service with surgeons.
• Support staff: APP will run the clinic independently with RN support.
• Amount of coverage needed per month: full time, 4x10/week; no part-time options available.
• Patient population/age: adults.
• Department description: outpatient thoracic surgery clinic, primarily focused on oncology cases.
• EMR: Epic.
• Special procedures: drain removals, wound care, incision care.
• Skills required: must be proficient in outpatient surgical settings.

Requirements

• Board Certification: Adult Outpatient (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC).
• License required: CA required.
• DEA: CA DEA required.
• Certifications required: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum experience required: must have a minimum of 2 years experience in outpatient surgical oncology or thoracic surgery.
• Strongly prefer university medical center experience.

Credentialing Timeframe

60 days.
