    Pediatric Nephrology Opportunity

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in South Carolina, is seeking a full-time BC/BE pediatric nephrologist to join our growing team. The Division offers a full range of nephrology services, including all forms of renal replacement therapy and plasmapheresis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical nephrology, dialysis, and hypertension; UNOS certification or eligibility to be a Pediatric Transplant Director is desired. The candidate will have demonstrated strong teaching experience and be eligible for the designation of Assistant or Associate Professor.

    Job Description

    • Nephrology service supports neonatal and pediatric critical care, oncology, and urology programs with emphasis on clinical care and teaching.
    • Prisma Health Children's Hospital-Upstate serves as the clinical teaching hospital for University of South Carolina Greenville School of Medicine (USCGSOM) and our physicians have faculty appointments at USC.
    • Comprised of three full-time Pediatric Nephrologists working in a collaborative manner with General Pediatrics and other Pediatric Subspecialties.
    • Work closely with local area pediatric transplant programs to provide ongoing care for transplant recipients. Plans are in place to collaborate with local adult transplant program to build a pediatric program in the area.
    • Specialized clinics include Hypertension/ABPM, Stone clinic, Multidisciplinary Fetal Clinic with the Advanced Fetal Care Center, and Multidisciplinary Neuro-Cutaneous Clinic for Tuberous Sclerosis.
    • Research program is growing with active engagement in the PNRC and are an active clinical trial site.
    • Support from nursing, research administration, a separate research facility, and extensive grant-building support.
    • Work in conjunction with medical school as mentors, teachers, and preceptors. Opportunity to participate in the School's Academy of Educators Program as well as at the Simulation Center.
    • Opportunities to collaborate with USC Arnold School of Public Health faculty and qualify as clinical faculty at Clemson University School of Health Research (CUSHR) exist. Division has a record of collaborations with Department of BioEngineering at Clemson University.
