Interventional Cardiologist

Job Description

• Provide on-call coverage for Interventional Cardiology
• Admission of patients, performing history and physical examinations, and management of patients within the broad field of Internal Medicine
• Interpretation of non-invasive, diagnostic cardiac and peripheral vascular testing
• Perform cardioversion, temporary intravenous device placement (pacemaker, Swan Ganz, etc.), and arterial line placement

Requirements

• Must be Board Certified and CA licensed, with a CA Fluoroscopy license
• Candidate must have a clean malpractice history
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID
• Required experience for initial privileging: documentation of the performance of at least 100 cardiology procedures during the past two years

Special Procedures Needed

• Invasive, Non-Interventional Cardiology: 200 procedures
• Interventional Cardiology: 100 procedures
• Permanent Pacemaker Implantation: 15 procedures
• Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE): 25 procedures

Notes

Looking for candidates that can routinely take 1-2 weeks of call per month ongoing for the next few months. Medical staff privileges require a certain number of cases over the past two years. The privileges are considered core for physicians with appropriate subspecialty training, including treatment of all illnesses within the subspecialty.
