Pain Medicine Specialist

Join our team as a Pain Medicine Specialist. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Job Description

• Coverage type includes scheduled clinic hours and call.
• Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with hospital coverage available 24/7.
• Candidates do not need to have an active Kansas license but must have a clean malpractice history to obtain a license quickly.
• The coverage dates needed are from December 22 at 5 pm to December 27 at 8 am.
• The average number of patients seen per day in the clinic is no more than 6.
• Call is required on nights and weekends, with phone consults available 24/7.
• Support staff includes a Physician Assistant working 30 hours per week.
• Providers will need to be comfortable filling pain medications and controlled substances for outpatients, with access to patient charts.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Pain Medicine.
• Fellowship is not required.
• Credentialing takes approximately 60 days, and temporary privileges will be granted.

Additional Information

• The average number of admissions per shift is between 0-3.
• The EMR system used is Epic.
• Travel and lodging accommodations are available at Residence Inn.
