Job Description

• Coverage type: Call Only
• Schedule:
  • Sept 5 am of Sept 12
  • Oct 3 am of Oct 10
  • Oct 31 am of Nov 7
  • Nov 28 am of Dec 4
• 1 week per month needed
• Call coverage from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m. daily, seeing an average of 3-5 cases a day
• Round on all surgery patients, averaging 1.5 hours in the morning and afternoon (only patients that are on their service)
• Experience with appendectomies, colon surgeries, and GI procedures is required
• Level IV trauma experience and some pediatric surgery (ages 8 years and up)
• Handle perforations and perform 3-5 ER consults per day with 10-15 phone consults per day

Requirements

• Minimum Board Certification: BC
• Must have GI experience

• EMR System: Meditech
