Internal Medicine - Cardiology

Join our team as an Internal Medicine Cardiologist, providing essential care in a dynamic environment. This position involves scheduled clinic hours and call coverage, ensuring comprehensive patient management.

Job Description

• Provide general cardiology services, including performing transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) and reading echocardiograms.
• Participate in Watchman procedures as needed, utilizing conscious sedation for TEE privileges.
• Work Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, with 1-2 night calls per week and one weekend call per month.
• Manage approximately 15 consults and 25 follow-ups per day.

Requirements

• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA.
• Board certified or board eligible in cardiology.
• Fellowship training is required.

Schedule

• Clinic hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM.
• Call schedule: 1-2 weeknight calls per week from 4 PM to 8 AM, and weekend call from 4 PM Friday to 8 AM Monday.

Support Staff

• At least 3 PAs available Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, with 1 PA on weekends.

Patient Demographics

• Primarily patients over the age of 17.
• Inpatient care with no admissions; focus on consults and follow-ups.
