Hospitalist, Nocturnist

Join our team as a Hospitalist, Nocturnist, starting August 16th, 2022, with ongoing coverage. This position requires a completed Covid vaccination for consideration to work locums with Tower.

Job Description

• This need is for both day and night shifts; please specify on the preferences which shifts the provider prefers.
• Schedule includes at least 13 shifts (day and night shifts available).
• Support staff includes NP and PA on staff.
• Rounding is required.
• Average number of admissions per shift is 6-10 for ED shifts.
• Type of charting/EMR is Epic; please include your provider's experience level with Epic.
• Admissions are required.
• The hospital is stroke certified.
• Each doctor covers 30-50 patients, with a total of 400 beds in the department.
• Patients per shift range from 15-18.

Requirements

• Minimum board certification: BC

Additional Information

• Trauma Level: 1-5 (level 1)
• Peds Level: 1-3 (level 2; we do not cover)
• Rounding: Assigned, Unassigned, Both (Nocturnists do not have assigned rounds)
• Reading is the home base requirement; the number of hospitalists is 6, waiting on the nocturnist requirement.
