Obstetrics and Gynecology

Join our team as an Obstetrics and Gynecology provider, starting October 3, 2022, with ongoing coverage needed. This position involves call-only coverage, with 12-16 days of locum support required each month.

Job Description

• Provide coverage for a site needing additional providers.
• Manage a diverse patient population, including all ages.
• Handle both inpatient and outpatient care.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and EMR.
• Participate in a call structure with one OB-Gyn, one MFM, and one mid-wife.
• Conduct an average of 1600 annual deliveries.
• Manage Level III Labor & Delivery patients.
• Perform required procedures such as tubal ligations and circumcisions.

Requirements

• Active PA license preferred.
• Board certification required; board-eligible candidates within 5 years of residency will be considered.
• Must be licensed in PA when confirming.

Staff Support

• Full office staff and special delivery staff in the hospital.
• One Perinatologist, four OB/Gyns, seven Certified Nurse Midwives, one Labor & Delivery Laborist (midwife), two Neonatologists, and seven NICU in-house midlevel providers.

Additional Information

• Average of 6 Labor & Delivery patients per day and 13 Labor & Delivery outpatients per day, including OB Triage and scheduled NSTs.
• NICU capacity of 16 licensed beds, with a capacity for 20 infants.
• Air ambulance services available 24/7 through Medstar, weather permitting.
