    Cardiology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

    We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our physicians in providing comprehensive cardiovascular services to patients in both an outpatient clinic and skilled nursing facility. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a dynamic, patient-centered environment with a strong focus on cardiovascular care.

    Job Description

    • Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and perform physical assessments with a focus on cardiovascular conditions.
    • Provide cardiology-focused services including routine check-ups, diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and minor office-based procedures.
    • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
    • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, EKGs, echocardiograms, and imaging studies.
    • Provide patient education on cardiovascular health, risk factors, lifestyle modifications, and treatment adherence.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    • Stay current with the latest cardiology practices, treatment guidelines, and infection control protocols.
    • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both outpatient and skilled nursing settings.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an NP or PA in a cardiology or related setting.
    • Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on cardiovascular care.
    • Proficiency in diagnostic evaluations and management of cardiac conditions.
    • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and HIPAA compliance.
    • Knowledge of cardiovascular diagnostic tools (EKG, stress testing, imaging review, etc.).
    • Experience with phlebotomy and basic life support techniques.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment while prioritizing patient care.
