General Surgeon Locum

CHI St. Alexius Health in Dickinson, ND, is looking for 2-3 locum tenens General Surgeons. Any contractor accepted will need to go through payor enrollment.

Job Description

• The need is to start on August 26th and would be ongoing with 14 days a month and 10 days of call, which also includes seeing patients in the clinic.
• Will this be a pure call coverage, or will they need to do clinic and call? They will need coverage for 14 days a month and 10 days of call, which also includes seeing patients in the clinic.
• Clinic hours and surgery days:
  • Monday: 8-5 Clinic
  • Tuesday: Surgery - Clinic hours after surgery depending on the surgery schedule
  • Wednesday: 8-5 Clinic
  • Thursday: Surgery - Clinic hours after surgery depending on the surgery schedule
  • Friday: 8-2 Clinic

Requirements

• Board Certified (required; will accept Board Eligible within 3 years of US residency training)
• ACLS and ND DEA (required)
• Candidates who are also IMLC in process to full IMLC will be considered
• Prefer clean files; will not accept any physicians actively on monitoring agreements or anyone with revoked license or privileges. If a candidate has incidents of malpractice and/or legal proceedings, please include a brief narrative that has the dates, settlement amount, disposition status, and where it occurred to avoid delays in the review process.

Benefits

• Preferred lodging at Candlewood Suites, 1430 Sims St. Dickinson, ND. In the event that the CommonSpirit Health preferred hotel is not available, hotel/lodging rates will be reimbursed based on actual expense, up to 1.5 times the current GSA rate for the market.
• Air travel: Local preferred but not required; $750 round trip cap.
• Rental cars: $65/day all-in cap (including taxes and fees) regardless of car class.
• Mileage: IRS Standard Rate.
