Seeking a Physician Assistant to join an Urgent Care Team. Our client is recognized for over 20 years of service in the community, excellence in customer service, quality of care, and community involvement—serving the general public as well as local law enforcement, fire rescue, municipal employees, and school board staff.

Job Description

• Evaluate and treat urgent care patients (approx. 20-30 patients/day, weekends 10-15)
• Manage common urgent care conditions including:
  • Cold, flu, and minor illnesses
  • Laceration repair (suturing/stapling)
  • Simple fracture care
  • Foreign body removal
  • Acute hypertension and abnormal blood sugar cases
  • Women's health concerns
• Perform EKG interpretation
• Determine when escalation to the Emergency Room is required
• Administer IVs (or willingness to learn)

Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience
• DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
• Experience with IV administrations (or willingness to learn)
