    Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner

    Join our team as a Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner in the Respiratory Therapy Department at Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA. This full-time position offers a night shift schedule and is responsible for helping to maintain or restore maximum functioning of the patient's cardiopulmonary system in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.

    The Sr. Respiratory Care Practitioner is required to exercise initiative in developing ideas or in responding to or adjusting problem situations. Supervised by the Charge Therapist/Lead Therapist or Supervisor, this role involves interpreting and applying operating procedures, technical standards, and protocols to problems of varying degrees of complexity. The practitioner also serves as a preceptor and mentor in the department and acts as a liaison with others in the hospital.

    Job Description

    • Help maintain or restore maximum functioning of the patient's cardiopulmonary system
    • Exercise initiative in developing ideas or responding to problem situations
    • Interpret and apply operating procedures, technical standards, and protocols
    • Serve as preceptor and mentor in the department

    Requirements

    • Coursework/Training Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
    • Upon hire: Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License
    • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
    • 4 years Acute Care experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
    • Sufficient experience to work effectively in critical care areas and NICU

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care
