Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray / CT)

Job Description
- Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT examinations utilizing ALARA principles
- Explain procedures to patients and families to facilitate cooperation and reduce anxiety
- Obtain adequate patient history and verify pregnancy status when applicable
- Start IV lines for outpatient CT scans requiring contrast administration
- Ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked exam rooms
- Coordinate with outside ordering providers and fax results as required
- Maintain strict confidentiality per HIPAA and facility policies
- Work independently while collaborating with emergency and acute care team
Requirements
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) license in Radiography and CT
- Ability to obtain California Certificate in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT)
- Valid CT license or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
- Current BLS CPR certification
Education
- Completion of AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology
- Digital training as part of educational program or proof of completion of digital training
Experience
- Prior experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Willing to train new graduates with strong foundational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional ARRT certifications
- Valid California Venipuncture certificate
- Experience in trauma and emergency imaging
- Background in rural or underserved healthcare settings
Skills & Competencies
- Technical proficiency in diagnostic X-ray and computed tomography procedures
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- IV insertion/venipuncture skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Detail-oriented and safety-conscious
- Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare setting
- Team player with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with digital imaging and EMR systems
