    Medical Laboratory Scientist II

    Our client in Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join its Core Lab team.     Job Description

    • Perform and monitor a wide range of laboratory tests aligned with department standards and regulatory guidelines
    • Accurately report test results in a timely manner, supporting patient diagnosis and treatment
    • Conduct instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting independently
    • Follow strict quality control, safety, and infection prevention procedures
    • Maintain adequate lab inventory and manage supplies efficiently
    • Foster strong communication with lab peers, clinical teams, and external partners
    • Support education and training of new team members and students

    Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field; or 4+ years of qualifying lab experience
    • Experience: At least 2 years of Core Lab experience in a high-volume clinical setting strongly preferred
    • Certification: Must hold a valid certification from at least one of the following:
      • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
      • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
      • American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB)
      • American Board of Histocompatibility (ABHI)
      • Grandfathered HEW licensee also accepted
      • Additional accepted credentials: CLS, MT, MLS, SCT, SCYM, SMB, CHS-ABHI, CHT-ABHI
    • Solid understanding of clinical lab protocols, equipment, and information systems
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in team environments
