Job Description
As a Medical Technologist, you will play a vital role in diagnostic testing and patient care. Your duties will include:
- Performing accurate and timely collection, labeling, and analysis of blood and other specimens using venous or capillary puncture on patients of all ages.
- Conducting complex and routine diagnostic lab procedures across multiple disciplines.
- Operating and maintaining laboratory instruments and automated systems.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality control and proficiency testing data to ensure precision and compliance with CLIA guidelines.
- Participating in competency assessments, procedure evaluations, and the onboarding/training of new team members.
- Maintaining an organized and clean work environment with adequate inventory and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Following universal precautions and safety standards to protect patients and staff.
- Maintaining strong communication and positive relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
Requirements

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred.
- An associate or Bachelor's degree with eligibility for certification as MLT, MT, or CLS is also considered.

Certification:
- Must obtain ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or equivalent within 2 years of employment.
