    We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Radiation Oncologist to join our team in Mason City, IA. The Radiation Oncologist will provide high-quality care for cancer patients, specializing in the use of radiation therapy to treat various types of cancer.     Job Description:

    • Evaluate and diagnose patients with cancer and determine appropriate radiation therapy treatment plans
    • Use advanced radiation technology, including 3D-conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and brachytherapy
    • Develop individualized radiation treatment plans based on the patient's diagnosis, medical history, and overall treatment goals
    • Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive cancer care and ensure effective, multidisciplinary treatment approaches
    • Monitor and assess patient progress, including managing side effects and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
    • Provide patient education on radiation therapy, treatment options, potential side effects, and expected outcomes
    • Review medical imaging (CT, MRI, PET scans) and coordinate radiation therapy with diagnostic teams
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient encounters
    • Participate in tumor boards and other clinical meetings to discuss patient treatment and progress

    Professional Development:

    • Stay current on advancements in radiation oncology and participate in continuing medical education to maintain professional knowledge and certifications

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Provide on-call coverage for emergencies as needed
