Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking locum Emergency Medicine opportunities in northeastern Iowa. This position offers a chance to work in a busy emergency department with a high annual volume.

Job Description

• 33K annual emergency department volume
• 346 hospital beds and 24 emergency department beds
• Accepting board-certified Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Family Medicine physicians
• Family Practice doctors with emergency department experience are welcome: must have 1,500 hours in the main emergency department within the past 24 months (ideally in a similar-sized volume emergency department)
• ABEM and AAPS candidates need to prove 500 hours of emergency department experience documented in the last 12 months
• Non-ABEM candidates need to prove 1,500 hours of emergency department experience in the last 24 months
• 36 hours of physician coverage, 18 hours of NP/PA coverage, and 36 hours of scribe coverage

Shift Times

• Physician:
  • If running 12-hour shifts effective 8/1: 6 AM - 6 PM, Noon - Midnight, 6 PM - 6 AM
  • If running 9-hour shifts: 6 AM - 3 PM, Noon - 9 PM, 3 PM - Midnight, 9 PM - 6 AM
• APP: 8 AM - 5 PM, 5 PM - 3 AM
• Scribes: 6 AM - 3 PM, Noon - 9 PM, 3 PM - Midnight, 9 PM - 6 AM
