Emergency Medicine Physician

We have an opportunity for locum Emergency Medicine work in northeastern Iowa. This position offers a chance to work in a facility with a significant annual emergency department volume and a collaborative environment.

Job Description

• Days credentialing
• 33K annual ED volume
• 346 hospital & 24 ED beds
• Will accept extremely qualified board-certified Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine physicians
• Family Practice doctors with ED experience: Need 1,500 hours in the Main ED within the past 24 months (ideally in a similar sized volume ED)
• ABEM and AAPS need to prove 500 hours of ED experience documented in the last 12 months
• Non-ABEM need to prove 1,500 hours in the last 24 months of ED experience
• 36-hour physician coverage, 18-hour NP/PA coverage, 36-hour scribe coverage
• Shift Times:
  • Physician: If running 12-hour shifts effective 8/1: 6a-6p, Noon-Midnight, 6p-6a & If running 9-hour shifts: 6a-3p, Noon-9p, 3p-Midnight, 9p-6a
  • APP: 8a-5p, 5p-3a
  • Scribes: 6a-3p, 12p-9p, 3p-12a, 9p-6a
• EMR system: Horizon Clinic-McKesson
