    Hospitalist

    Randstad Healthcare has partnered with a facility in Northeast Utah for Hospitalist work. The hospital is located in Northeast Utah and is looking for a Hospitalist.

    Job Description

    • Must have a Utah license and DEA.
    • Prefer board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice but will consider truly board-eligible candidates with Hospitalist experience.
    • Utah is a compact state, and it will take approximately 2 months to get a license.
    • Preference is for a 7 on, 7 off schedule but can be flexible.
    • Typical day: Come in at 7 AM and do rounding of patients; once finished, you can either stay in-house or be available for any calls, admissions, or procedures required.
    • Will take call for the remainder of the day.
    • Hospitalist is responsible for admissions from 6 AM to 10 PM; each doctor is responsible for admissions from 10 PM to 6 AM.
    • Census: average day between patients.
    • EMR is E Clinical Works.
    • Procedures are standard, including vent management, intubations, etc. No head trauma or complex trauma is seen.
    • Critical Care: has telemedicine support from the University of Utah for nights; the hospital coordinates with these Critical Care doctors for the care of patients.
