Rehab Hospitalist
Renown Health and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) are Nevada's first integrated academic health system and currently hiring a full-time Rehab Hospitalist.
As the main teaching hospital, physicians foster the teaching of residents and medical students from The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Working with an established Research Department provides support to coordinate clinical trials.
The Rehab Hospitalist will be a dedicated Hospitalist at Renown Acute Rehabilitation Hospital and act as a consultant, assisting in patient follow-up and observation, under dedicated inpatient physiatrists. Physiatrists are the primary providers in the hospital. Patients are typically transferred from Renown Regional having been treated for stroke, brain aneurysms, TBI, spinal or hip fractures. The Hospitalist will report through the Director of Acute Rehab Hospital.
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified IM Hospitalist and have completed an accredited 3-year residency program.
Job Description
- Block schedule 7 on / 7 off
- See patients 18 years and older
- No discharges, no admits
- Ability to positively collaborate and communicate with support staff
- Effectively and efficiently consult and manage acute co-morbidities
