Rehab Hospitalist

Renown Health and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) are Nevada's first integrated academic health system and are hiring a Rehab Hospitalist to work at the Renown Rehabilitation Hospital. The Renown Rehab Hospital is northern Nevada region's only CARF accredited rehabilitation hospital.

The Rehabilitation Hospitalist will be Consult Service only, assisting with patient follow-up, patient observation, and comorbidity management under the inpatient Physiatrists. Physiatrists are the primary providers in the hospital. Patients are typically transferred from Renown Regional having been treated for stroke, brain aneurysms, amputations, TBI, spinal cord injuries, or hip fractures. The Hospitalist will report through the Director of Acute Rehab Hospital.

The ideal candidate will be a board-certified IM Hospitalist and have completed an accredited 3-year Internal Medicine Residency program.

Job Description

• Block schedule 7 on / 7 off
• See patients 18 years and older
• No discharges, no admits
• Ability to positively collaborate and communicate with support staff
• Effectively and efficiently consult and manage acute comorbidities

Requirements

• Board-certified IM Hospitalist
• Completed an accredited 3-year Internal Medicine Residency program
