    Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a full-time Neurosurgeon to join our well-respected team at Riverside Hampton Roads Neurological and Spine Specialists in Newport News, Virginia.     We welcome candidates at all experience levels. Ideal candidates will have experience in high-volume, high-acuity settings. Our system includes 4 hospitals, a lifelong health division, and over 100 ambulatory practices. This recruited surgeon will practice at our largest hospital, Riverside Regional Medical Center.

    Job Description

    • Call will be 1:6 with recruited physician
    • In-patient APP coverage 7 days/week
    • The only Level II Trauma Center in the Peninsula Region
    • 450 bed hospital
    • 2 (18) bed ICUs with a mix of neuro, surgical and medical specialties
    • 36 bed specialized Neuroscience Unit
    • 16 OR rooms, blocked neurosurgery time
    • Utilize advanced imaging technologies, including MRI, CT, O-Arm, C-arm and neuronavigational systems to enhance surgical precision
    • Conduct minimally invasive surgeries using endoscopic and robotic-assisted techniques, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and faster recovery times
    • The only Comprehensive Stroke Certified Hospital in the Peninsula Region
    • Position includes 2 ambulatory clinic locations
    • Neuroscience division has a large neurology department with fellowship training in vascular neurology, neuromuscular disorders, cognitive disorders, neuropsychology, headache, movement disorders and autonomic disorders
    • PM&R physician in neurosurgery practice

    Requirements

    • Completion of ACGME Residency in Neurosurgery
    • Board Certification / Board Eligible
    • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
    • Collaborative approach with other physicians and APPs
    • Ability to provide guidance to other medical staff
