Physician Assistant

Health Care System seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to their orthopedic team. This position is focused in the hospital or ASC. The Physician Assistant will provide first assist (general, total joints, extremities, and fractures), call schedule is 1/9 weekends, ED Consults (fracture care), rounding, and inpatient management. The schedule is four ten-hour day shifts per week.

Successful Physician Assistant should be PANCE-Certified. Ideal candidate should have some surgical experience (in any area) but will train a recent graduate with an orthopedic surgical rotation.

The location is in the beautiful Hudson Valley area near Poughkeepsie, NY. The area provides lots of universities, affordable living, great schools, skiing, many lakes, hiking, and a lot of great outdoors.

Job Description

• Provide first assist in general, total joints, extremities, and fractures
• Participate in call schedule of 1/9 weekends
• Conduct ED Consults for fracture care
• Manage rounding and inpatient care

Requirements

• PANCE-Certified
• Some surgical experience preferred; recent graduates with orthopedic surgical rotation will be considered
