Physician Assistant

Health Care System seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to the team. Previous orthopedic experience is preferred but will train a recent Physician Assistant graduate with a strong interest in orthopedics! The position includes both the clinic and OR. The new Physician Assistant will be working with a Sports Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon that has a focus on shoulders, knees, and total joint. Recent graduates must have completed an orthopedic rotation.

Job Description

• First assist
• Initial evaluations
• Joint aspiration and injections
• Pre-op and post-op H&Ps
• Reductions of fractures and dislocations
• Write scripts
• Coordinate with Physical Therapist and ATCs
• Ordering tests and evaluate X-ray, CT Scan, and MRI
• Casting and splinting
• Possibility to run clinics
• Hospital rounds
