Join our team at Sakakawea Medical Center in Hazen, ND, a critical access hospital offering a unique opportunity in Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist Program. This position involves 24-hour solo coverage, providing essential care in a supportive environment.

Job Description

• Provide emergency medicine and hospitalist services with 24-hour solo coverage.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient management.
• Manage acute/swing beds (10 total) with an average of 9 emergency department encounters per day and 4-6 inpatient encounters per day.
• Handle an average of 6 weekly admissions and 1 daily discharge.
• Collaborate with subspecialty support including Anesthesia and General Surgery.
• Access telemedicine services for Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, and Cardiology.
• Work with ancillary support including lab, imaging, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
• Lead codes and rapid responses as the ER provider or hospitalist.
• Perform procedures such as central line placements, typically led by the CRNA.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience.
• Comfortable working as the sole provider and performing all procedures.
• Certification in ATLS, ACLS, and BLS.
• Active North Dakota license or ability to obtain.

Compensation and Benefits

• Independent Contractor (1099) status.
• Malpractice insurance covered.
• Annual compensation of $216,000 for 10 shifts per month.
• Group benefits available for full-time providers (10 shifts per month).
