Palliative Care Physician

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician-led and accountable 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a Palliative Care Physician to join its inpatient & outpatient Palliative Care service. SAMG is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the quality and efficiency of healthcare for patients with chronic conditions. Its team of palliative providers provide:

• Hospital & outpatient, interdisciplinary team consultations for patients in need of palliative care.
• Continuing education on palliative care topics for Saint Alphonsus health care providers.

Job Description

• Location: Boise and Nampa
• Status: Part-Time (0.6 FTE)
• Schedule: Primarily 3 outpatient clinic days per week between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday with occasional weeks in the hospital (three 8-hour shifts) Monday to Sunday.
• Call: Shared equitably within Palliative Care Team

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
• Successful completion of an Accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency program or Internal Medicine residency program.
• Board certification through the ABFM or ABIM in Palliative Medicine (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment).
• Obtain Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases, valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy & DEA.
