Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Trauma
Join our team at the Saint Alphonsus Boise Campus as a Physician Assistant in a full-time role. This position involves a rotation of responsibilities including clinic, operating room, inpatient rounding, and PA call coverage. The PA team consists of seven providers.
Job Description
- Manage orthopedic trauma patients in collaboration with orthopedic trauma surgeons.
- Provide direct clinical management through utilization of approved protocols and procedures.
- Evaluate new trauma patients in the Emergency Room and provide direction to hospital personnel regarding patient management issues.
- Manage inpatient orthopedic fracture patients and work in the operating room and outpatient clinic settings.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho.
- Valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA.
- Past surgical and/or critical care experience in a hospital-based setting.
- Evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care.
