Sleep Medicine Provider
Become part of a physician-led 650+ provider multispecialty group with a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. This full-spectrum sleep practice in a community offers rewarding opportunities, including interpreting diagnostic testing/labs and patient education, balanced with a rural-paced lifestyle. SAMC-Ontario is a Level IV Trauma Center with 50 beds, 4 operating suites plus endoscopy, new laparoscopic equipment, advanced imaging capabilities, and award-winning clinical services. Outreach opportunities are available.
With the increasing demand for sleep services, our program continues to develop a regional approach within the Saint Alphonsus Health System. The qualified Advanced Practice Provider will show evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills, and problem-solving abilities and commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care.
Job Description
- Conduct follow-up evaluations for patients referred for sleep consultation
- Follow through on physician's plan of care
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing and labs
- Prescribe appropriate treatment and conduct patient education
- Aid in clinic phone triage and referral triage
- Assist in prescription refills and general clinic coverage when other providers are not in clinic
Requirements
- Successful completion of NP or PA Graduate Program (Masters Level)
- AANP or ANCC certification for Nurse Practitioners
- NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants
- Ability to obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure, and valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho and Oregon Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- 2 years experience as a Sleep Medicine Provider preferred
