    Hematology/Oncology Physician

    This regional medical center, located 1 hour from Asheville and 1 hour 15 minutes to Charlotte, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Hematology/Oncology physician.

    Job Description

    • 98% outpatient practice
    • 1:3 call; hospitalists facilitate admissions
    • All calls are first routed through a 24/7 oncology nurse's line
    • Never called into the hospital
    • 8 AM - 5 PM Monday-Thursday, 1/2-day Friday (8 AM - 12 PM)
    • Caseload of 13-15 patients per day
    • 2 PAs on staff
    • 2 radiation oncologists
    • 2 new linear accelerators
    • 24 infusion chairs
    • Patient navigators and cancer support groups
    • Opportunity for tumor board and cancer committee engagement
    • Network with nationally renowned cancer specialists on complex cases
    • Option for clinical trials
    • Precepting residents available

    Diagnostics Include:

    • X-ray, CT
    • Ultrasound
    • Mammography
    • Bone density
    • Nuclear
    • Mobile PET & Mamo
    • MRI & breast MRI
