    Orthopedic Surgeon

    A 155-bed community-based teaching hospital in Southwest Georgia with a thriving physician group.

    Job Description

    • Regional Health System's Sterling Orthopedic Group is currently seeking a full-time orthopedic surgeon who specializes in feet and ankles to join an established practice with three other board-certified orthopedic physicians, including additional support from mid-levels.
    • Call required 7 days/month, including general ortho; extra pay for extra call.
    • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; time split equally between clinic and OR.
    • Opportunity to precept medical students and residents.
    • The Sterling Orthopedic Clinic is located within walking distance of the hospital campus; 24/7 access to physicians lounge with meals provided; a 24-hour all-access employee fitness center; and a state-of-the-art Medical Education Center with simulation rooms, a conference center, and more.

    Requirements

    • Completion or upcoming completion of orthopedic residency and a foot and ankle fellowship.
    • Required Certifications/Licensures: Board-certified physician or board certification eligible (if eligible, must obtain board certification within 5 years); Georgia Medical License or participation in Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
