We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing, RN to lead our skilled nursing team and ensure the delivery of exceptional care to our residents.

    Job Description

    • Serve as the clinical leader of our skilled nursing facility, overseeing the delivery of comprehensive nursing care to our residents.
    • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the nursing department, fostering a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous education.
    • Oversee the training and development of nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and competency to meet resident needs.
    • Follow and implement Sapphire policies, procedures, and clinical protocols to ensure the highest standards of resident care and satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans for residents.
    • Monitor and evaluate nursing care outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations governing nursing practice.
    • Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and clinical expertise to enhance professional growth and development.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, care conferences, and quality assurance activities to promote resident-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
    • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
    • Utilize standard precaution knowledge and infection control measures where required.
    • Guide staffing procedures.
    • Organize and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
    • Proven leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting, with a track record of effectively leading and managing nursing teams.
    • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on resident needs.
    • Thorough understanding of nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement principles.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
    • Commitment to providing compassionate, person-centered care and advocating for the needs and preferences of residents.
