    Mammography Technologist

    Sentara Port Warwick in Newport News, VA, is currently hiring a Mammography Technologist for a Full Time, Day Shift.

    Job Description

    • Perform and analyze all screening/diagnostic mammography procedures and/or bone densitometry.
    • Conduct general screening and diagnostic mammography and/or bone densitometry imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician.
    • Position patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operate radiation producing equipment, and manage electronic radiology systems.
    • Prepare patient room/equipment/medications and maintain adequate supply inventory.
    • Explain examination and procedure to patients and complete departmental documentation.

    Requirements

    • Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required)
    • ARRT or ARDMS (Required)
    • Must be ARRT (M) within 1 year of hire
    • BLS
    • 2 years or previous mammography experience (Required)
