Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D Certificate (Required)
- Successful completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic Program (Required)
- In an Advanced Life Support (ALS) position or Critical Care setting (3 years required)
- Flight / Air medical transport (1 year preferred)
- Current EMT-P license from the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)
- MedTrans Corporation New Hire Academy (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification (Required)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (Required)
- Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) (Required)
- Pediatric Transport Course (PCCTC) (Required)
- Flight Paramedic-Certification (FP-C) (Required; must obtain within thirty (30) days of start date)
Must maintain all certifications and additional state licenses may be required based on fixed-wing services.
