Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional level nursing duties for patients served in the clinical areas.

Job Description

• Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Assist in the assessment and evaluation of patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

• Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited program.
• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with authorization to practice in the State of Texas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Certification in a Nursing Specialty Area by an organization recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification, must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date.

Experience

• Preferred: 2 years of nursing experience.
