    Medical Director

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director to join our team in Vancouver, WA. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President of Quality and Corporate Compliance. The Medical Director will be responsible for program planning, policy development, oversight of medical and pharmaceutical services, and support of the strategic plan. This position plays a key role in overseeing other providers within the facility and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

    Job Description

    • Review Washington Administrative Codes (WACs), Revised Codes (RCWs), CARF Standards, and Federal regulations related to medical and psychiatric services. Ensure continuous quality improvement to address patient needs and compliance.
    • Collaborate with the VP of Quality and Corporate Compliance to evaluate and improve the Quality Assurance and Improvement program. Direct efforts towards enhancing medical treatment outcomes.
    • Recruit, supervise, and foster relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Develop and oversee Fellowships in partnership with local hospitals and community partners.
    • Prepare and present in-service training for clinical staff to address changing trends in behavioral health medical care. Assist in the development and implementation of new programs.
    • Strive towards integrating physical and behavioral health in all programs. Work collaboratively with other management staff to set and achieve agency goals.
    • Support and implement agency policies and procedures. Provide higher-level oversight and be available after hours as needed.
    • Initiate additional testing when appropriate, develop and evaluate treatment plans, and refer patients to other healthcare services as needed.
    • Work with program directors and supervisors to develop innovative services. Provide consultation within the agency and collaborate with external providers and pharmaceutical companies.
    • Maintain positive relationships and coordination of care with other community agencies and clinics.

    Requirements

    • Medical Degree required, with a strong preference for an Addictologist.
    • Current WA State DOH medical license with prescriptive authority. Additional addiction certifications/training preferred.
    • Experience working with patients with complex co-morbidities.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent management skills, adept computer skills, and strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Ability to build rapport and foster relationships within a diverse team of providers.
