Nursing Position
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing skilled nursing care in a supportive environment. This role involves ongoing assessment of client and family circumstances, ensuring effective communication of client changes and needs to the physician and nursing supervision.
Job Description
- Initiate preventive, rehabilitative, and therapeutic nursing measures.
- Teach safety precautions, medication actions and interactions, and appropriate health care measures.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other modalities as ordered by the attending physician.
- Maintain current skills, knowledge, and practice-specific information by completing continuing education programs.
- Document accurately and submit timely nursing notes and reports according to agency and facility standards.
- Work in cooperation with facility administration and personnel.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide nursing care within the parameters of the State Nurse Practice Act and the policies and procedures of the agency.
- Initiate and implement a realistic care plan.
- Continually assess a client's changing physical, emotional, and social condition.
- Ensure that patients take their medication.
- Observe patients' progress throughout treatment.
- Consult patients' families about the patients' progress.
- Perform routine checks of patients' vital signs.
- Assist doctors and registered nurses.
- Liaise with patients' families.
