    Job Description

    • At PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center Riverbend, our strong, collaborative team includes critical care physicians and advanced practice providers.
    • Work alongside board-certified critical care physicians and acute care trained ICU experienced physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
    • Our APPs have prior experience with teaching as well as medical, surgical, cardiac, neurologic, and trauma ICU patient care.
    • APPs are involved in committees in the ICU and the hospital including the Medical Executive Committee, Critical Care Collaborative, and the Ethics Committee.
    • Providing care for medical, surgical, cardiac, neurologic, and trauma patients in the ICU.
    • Involvement in ICU and hospital committees, including the Medical Executive Committee, Critical Care Collaborative, and the Ethics Committee.
    • We collaboratively work together across the unit.

    Requirements

    • Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
    • Active Nurse Practitioner license or eligible to become licensed in Oregon.
    • Prior experience practicing in the ICU as an acute care trained nurse practitioner is required.
    • The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently assess, examine, and provide care to critically ill patients in the ICU including procedures. They will present and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in the ICU, work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team, and commit to excellence in clinical service while demonstrating problem-solving abilities necessary to serve our patients best.
