    Hematology/Oncology Physician

    A leading regional cancer program in the Capital Region of New York is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology Physician to join its growing team. This position offers an excellent mix of outpatient and inpatient consultative work in a collaborative, well-supported environment with a strong APP and hospitalist infrastructure.

    Job Description

    • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
    • Setting: Primarily outpatient, with inpatient consults only
    • Physicians see 15-18 patients per day (option for higher volume if desired)
    • APPs see 10-12 patients per day
    • Average hospital census: 20-30 patients daily
    • 1:5 call rotation (transitioning to 1:7 as recruitment expands)
    • Hospitalists handle admissions and inpatient APPs manage follow-up care
    • One weeknight block every 5 weeks for afterhours call
    • Weekend call: Friday-Sunday every 5 weeks
    • EMR: Epic

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Guaranteed annual base salary:
      • $550,000-$600,000 (Years 1-2)
      • $650,000 (Years 3-5)
    • WRVU productivity model (beginning after guaranteed period)
