Acute Care NP/PA - Trauma Service
Seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Trauma Service Team in Norfolk, VA. Virginia State-designated Level I Trauma and Burn Center. This program serves patients across a 125-mile radius, supported by the hospital-based Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and EMS partners.
Job Description
- Join a high-performing Trauma Team of 5 trauma surgeons and 7 APPs
- Responsible for disposition of trauma patients from ER and hospital floors
- No ICU responsibilities
- Part-time position: 2 10-hour shifts per week
- Weekend coverage: 1:6 rotational schedule
- Fully integrated Epic EHR
- Non-profit, PSLF eligible
Requirements
- NP/PA licensure in Virginia (or eligibility)
- Acute Care certification strongly preferred
- Trauma or ER experience desirable
- Team-oriented with strong decision-making skills
