Pediatric Pulmonologist
Join our dynamic team as a Pediatric Pulmonologist in Des Moines, IA. This permanent position offers the opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic, with some rounding and consults in the hospital.
Job Description
- Work in a full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
- Be part of an established team of 1 physician and 4 Advanced Practitioners
- Enjoy a fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
- Hold a clinical track faculty appointment with the University of Iowa
- Participate in a fully accredited CF center and multidisciplinary CF clinic
- Utilize fully equipped flexible bronchoscopy and laryngoscopy, exercise testing, and pulmonary function lab
- Average of 15 patients per day
- Engage in teaching and research opportunities; our residency program is fully accredited by the ACGME and offers seven categorical positions each year
- Share call amongst the providers, currently at 1:4
- Practice a mix of inpatient and outpatient medicine
- Conduct in-office consults
- Collaborate in a patient-focused, friendly team environment
- Explore opportunities for expansion in our asthma center
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology
- Prefer Board Certified in Sleep Medicine
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
- J-1 waiver sponsorship available
