Pediatric Pulmonologist

Join our dynamic team as a Pediatric Pulmonologist in Des Moines, IA. This permanent position offers the opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic, with some rounding and consults in the hospital.

Job Description

• Work in a full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
• Be part of an established team of 1 physician and 4 Advanced Practitioners
• Enjoy a fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
• Hold a clinical track faculty appointment with the University of Iowa
• Participate in a fully accredited CF center and multidisciplinary CF clinic
• Utilize fully equipped flexible bronchoscopy and laryngoscopy, exercise testing, and pulmonary function lab
• Average of 15 patients per day
• Engage in teaching and research opportunities; our residency program is fully accredited by the ACGME and offers seven categorical positions each year
• Share call amongst the providers, currently at 1:4
• Practice a mix of inpatient and outpatient medicine
• Conduct in-office consults
• Collaborate in a patient-focused, friendly team environment
• Explore opportunities for expansion in our asthma center

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology
• Prefer Board Certified in Sleep Medicine
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
