Job Description Summary

Greet patients and determine the nature of the visit; prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by the provider. Pay range: 25.25-35.36 an hour with eligibility for shift differentials.

Job Description

• Maintain patient's safe passage in and out of the practice
• Greet, assess, and interview patients
• Obtain past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, and vital signs
• Review present medications, allergy history, and chief complaint
• Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by the provider
• Anticipate needs of patients and the provider
• Monitor patients during examination or procedure
• Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent paramedic duties
• Maintain patient care areas
• Stock and order supplies as needed, and maintain clean exam rooms
• Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures
• Respond to patient's concerns in person or by telephone while simultaneously documenting the problem
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Administer medications and IVs per physician's orders
• Perform a variety of preliminary procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, throat cultures, and more

Requirements

• EMT-P Current Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Licensure
• BLS - Basic Life Support (preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
