Join our dynamic team as a Gastroenterologist for Woodland, which is located in the Sacramento metropolitan area, just 20 minutes from Sacramento and within easy driving distance to San Francisco, Napa, and Lake Tahoe. This community is one of the largest cities north of Sacramento, but it retains a small-town charm. New housing subdivisions and several major chain stores, plus the famous Main Street, have revived with new restaurants and the expansion of the Old State Theater into a multiplex. Woodland offers all the amenities of a metro area but with the safety and affordability of a small town. Easy access to major universities such as UC Davis and Sacramento State is also available.

Job Description

• Join a Sacramento Metropolitan multispecialty group with a century-old organization that prides itself on outstanding patient care and strong retention.
• Work with a diverse patient population; payer mix includes HMO, PPO, and fee-for-service.
• Average 20 patients per day in the clinic; the clinic has procedure rooms.
• Can work 2-3 days in the OR/surgery center; average 100-120 OR procedures per month.
• Typical GI procedures performed include EGD, PEG placement, colonoscopy, flex sig; ERCP is desirable but not required (low volume for ERCP).
• Call schedule is 1:4 (7 days per month).
• Excellent group culture with a strong belief in work-life balance.

Requirements

• Generous salary and benefit package includes:
  • Annual salary guarantee of $603K for 18 months, then productivity.
  • Signing bonus of $40K.
  • Relocation assistance of $20K.

  • Medical/dental/vision covered at 100% by the group (HMO plan).
