Nephrologist wanted for Northern California boomtown. Well known for its Gold Rush history and large lake, the family-oriented community boasts a historical downtown and a top-notch resort casino. Local activities include all types of water sports, hiking, camping, five golf courses, performing arts, antiquing, local wineries, and fabulous sightseeing. The area is near a major university and malls, just an hour from Sacramento and 20 minutes to Chico.

Job Description

• General neurology for a hospital-managed practice
• Enjoy the freedom of an independent contractor with the hospital providing all office costs, including admin, staff, scribe, and benefits
• Busy, high-volume practice with clinic volume up to 16-20 patients per day when ramped up
• Referrals booked out approximately 4 to 6 weeks
• Inpatient rounding as needed
• Currently one full day of dialysis per week; schedule could be changed depending on preference
• DCI is a separate entity for dialysis
• Call frequency is very low utilization, phone only unless urgent
• EMR is Tenzing
• One additional nephrologist on staff
• Rated as a federal underserved area
• Facility is a 153-bed Level III full-service hospital
• Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Open to new graduates
