    Clinical Nurse Specialist

    Job Description

    • Serve as the clinical practice expert in the delivery of evidence-based nursing interventions within your specialty focus.
    • Apply advanced knowledge of nursing science to influence patient care, nursing practice, and organizational systems.
    • Provide leadership and clinical expertise within the interdisciplinary team in the management of complex patient issues.
    • Collaborate with specialty-specific leadership to develop and evaluate nursing practice delivery.
    • Conduct comprehensive, holistic assessments of patients to identify nursing interventions.
    • Design, implement, and evaluate innovative programs of care to achieve quality, cost-effective outcomes.
    • Monitor compliance with local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies.
    • Coach clinical nurses in professional development and mentor peer review team members.
    • Promote research and evidence-based practice through the review and implementation of research findings.
    • Ensure care is appropriate to the age of the patients served and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
    • Lead multidisciplinary groups to facilitate collaboration across the continuum of care.
    • Support lean principles of continuous improvement and maintain a safe environment for caregivers and patients.

    Requirements

    • Master of Science in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from an accredited college or university.
    • Current Oregon RN License.
    • Current license to practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Oregon.
    • National Advanced Practice Specialty Certification from a professional organization in relevant field of clinical expertise.
    • Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.
    • Current advanced provider certification(s) (ALS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, or other) as appropriate for your area of practice/population.

    Benefits

    • Typical salary range is $112,340.80 to $168,500.80 per year depending on experience plus benefits.
    • Eligible for sign-on and retention bonus plus relocation assistance based on location.
