St. Charles Health System is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hospitalist to provide inpatient care across our Bend and Redmond campuses. This position offers flexible scheduling, a highly supportive environment, and the chance to practice meaningful medicine in the heart of Central Oregon.

    Job Description

    • Admit and manage adult inpatients (age 18+) with internal medicine conditions
    • Provide consultative support for psychiatric and rehabilitation inpatients as needed
    • Participate in critical care coverage at the Redmond campus
    • Share an equitable rotation schedule with fellow hospitalists
    • Maintain current credentials for core procedures
    • Ensure accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system
    • Participate in professional development, CME, and team meetings

    Schedule & Call Expectations

    • 10 - 11 hour shifts, minimum of 166 shifts annually
    • 7-day rotation or flexible scheduling options available
    • Occasional back-up call may be requested during high census
    • Rotating coverage between Bend and Redmond campuses, with potential outreach as needed

    Requirements

    • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
    • Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
    • Oregon medical license (or eligibility)
    • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine
    • DEA certification
    • Current BLS and ACLS required

    Experience & Skills

    • Experience in inpatient or hospital-based medicine
    • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
    • EMR (Epic) experience preferred
